It's that time of year again, and what better what to celebrate the holidays than with a jar of local honey from Blyth LP's very own rooftop beehive!

We have less than 70 jars from our 2nd harvest of honey from our rooftop hive! Congrats to my EcoClub and the wonderful team at Alvéole for all of their help. We were initially selling these jars for $20, but for a limited time, the honey is 50% off. The $10 price will stay until Thursday December 16th. The proceeds will ALL go to the Terry Fox Foundation. Please see Leni Pothaar with cash or cheque payable to The Terry Fox Foundation for as many jars as you would like. Email to reserve your supply. You can also donate through the website and will receive an immediate tax receipt: Our donation page on the Terry Fox Foundation website: http://www.terryfox.ca/BlythAcademyLawrenceParkToronto They are 100ml jars, and our original beekeeper at Blyth LP Mr. Alex Mrkich offers the following tasting note: This is as lovely and pure a honey as can be found. The sweetness is present, but not overpowering, and every taste reminds you of summer

Blyth LP student's will also get a chance to participate in an Alvéole workshop where they will learn how honey goes from the hive to the jar! The workshop is completely interactive and will take place 2:30pm-3:30pm Tuesday Dec 14th in The Great Hall at ESG. If students are interested, they need to reserve their spot with Mr. Saklica (t_saklica@blytheducation.com).

We have been doing some great work this term, and what better way to start the holiday break with some sweet honey!
