Today is the second day of Canadian Mental Health Week! Every year on May 4th solstice 10th is our Mental Health Week. With this year's theme focusing on social connection, the need to focus on psychology has become even more urgent in the wake of the epidemic: Since Canada declared a national public health emergency in March, many Canadians have suffered mental health problems in isolation at home, according to mainstream media reports such as CTV. A recent survey by the Angus Reid Institute (ARI), a polling firm, has some startling numbers: 50% of Canadians say their mental health is worse than it was before the outbreak, while 26% say they are in a very bad mood, and 24% say they are on the verge of emotional collapse. Meanwhile, the Health Canada mental Health page, launched in the wake of the outbreak, has had more than 70,000 views, according to data.
Under such circumstances, our school is also committed to the maintenance of mental health as much as it can. All the teachers are actively helping the students in any way they can. Our school has organized a Youth Support Program, which is a psychological guidance site for Grade 9 to 12 students, including anxiety, depression, stress, confidence, manifesting and good sleep quality. The site offers a variety of free YouTube videos, including laughter yoga, mental health and self-care, sleep health, multiple sclerosis relief exercises, chronic pain relief, concussion symptoms relief, and more. We hope to use this Canadian Mental Health Week to call on more students in our school who are suffering from mental health problems due to home isolation to take advantage of our excellent resources. Instead of isolating yourself and facing the psychological problems alone.
How are you feeling at home during this outbreak? How are your family and friends around you? If you need help, don't be afraid to go it alone. Be sure to get help online and express your feelings through contact with a professional or with family, friends or teachers. Use professional videos to further stretch your daily stresses and fears by opening your address for fresh air and stretching before and after class each day. I hope we can get through this difficult time healthy and positive togethe
