Queen's University Virtual Trip

Hello Blyth community, our school is offering us a virtual trip to Queen's University for grade 11 and 12. It was an extraordinary opportunity to experience the 180-year history of a leading public research university. This Grade 11 students to explore the universities they want to attend.
Queen's University, located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, is one of Canada's leading universities and a world-class public research university. It is a member of the Alliance of Pleiades Universities and the Alliance of Canadian U15 Research Universities. It was founded on 16 October 1841 by a Royal Charter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and became Queen's University in 1912. With nearly 200 years of academic accumulation and profound alumni network, Queen's University enjoys a high reputation in North America and is known as the aristocratic school of Canada.
In 2015, Professor McDonald was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for outstanding contributions to world research. The university offers 15 different departments, including Business, Medicine, Law, Biology, Engineering, Arts and Science, and has set up Bader English Learning Center. According to the McLean's University Student Satisfaction Rankings 2020, Queen's University is ranked 3rd and 5th in the overall medical and liberal arts university rankings. According to the 2021QS World University Rankings, Queen's University is ranked 9th in Canada and 246th in the world.
There will be two programs running on the day:
Macronutrients and What They Mean for our Bodies – Nutrition
Exercise and Effects on Our Health – Anatomy
All the grade 11 and 12 students are more than welcome to be invited to this trip!

Time: 1:00pm – 4:00pm EST
Attendance: Compulsory for Grade 11 and 12 students
